I am a recent graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University with a degree in Honours Bachelor of Arts Sociology. And while my resume may not show it as I opted to show my most recent experiences, I have 5 years experience in customer service working in places such as McDonalds, Sobeys, Jack Astors, and start up companies such as SwftCharge. I am an immigrant from the Philippines in which my parents decided to move us to Canada when I was three years old so my siblings and I could have access to opportunities that we would not have had in Philippines. With this background in mind, I am also a teen cancer survivor. I wanted to share this because the combination of my work experience plus my personal life experience has led me to become a hard working, trusted individual who is adaptable, a fast learner, and takes initiative.
Hospitality - customer service skills such as friendly attitude and professional mannerisms, ability to multi task, excellent communication skills, and team work skills working in the restaurant business.
Problem Solving skills - ability to quickly find resolutions and to be adaptable and flexible to changing circumstances
Leadership skills - ability to take initiative and effectively lead a team but I am also excellent at compromise and ensuring that my teammates and I are working in synchronicity.
Proficient in MS applications and programs such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
Excellent organization abilities and proficient in oral and written English skills.
