Technical Training Lead CloudOps is looking for a motivated Technical Training Lead to facilitate learning and provide training to our customers and partners who are adopting cloud-native architectures for both new and existing applications. In this role, you will enable technical experts by introducing the mechanics of various cloud-native technologies and tools. You will be responsible for reviewing, researching, developing and delivering instructor-led or eLearning technical workshops (courses), labs and training. This role requires a balance between multiple disciplines, strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, content development capabilities and "train the trainer" experience.While this is a full-time position based at our Montreal head office, the role will require travel for the delivery of workshops in a variety of locations. Responsibilities Be a subject-matter expert as it relates to Kubernetes, OpenShift, Anthos, Istio, containers, microservices and DevOps practices at CloudOps and the broader market. Create labs using Kubernetes and Cloud-Native ecosystem projects. Set up and maintain multi-cloud automation to produce lab environments for workshop attendees. Manage, update and develop best practices materials (content) for all aspects of the Kubernetes and container ecosystems training. Align content creation with internal technology initiatives such as "Smart Defaults." Facilitate workshops and labs related to containers, orchestrators and microservices. Create multimedia content (Audio/Video/Imaging) for use in eLearning courses. Maintain and improve technical understanding of the company's products and complementary technologies through continuous training. Develop training best practices, presentation skills, and technical knowledge. Collaborate with the sales team to communicate logistics, knowledge transfer, and manage partner/customer training projects. Participate in community and market activities including Meetups and conferences (DevOpsDays, Cloud-Native Day, etc.). Hands-on Experience with Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Setting up clusters and deploying applications including cloud automation with GCP, Azure and AWS. Knowledge of Networking for containers and orchestrators. Monitoring and logging for containers and orchestrators. Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as; Terraform, Ansible, etc. Continuous integration and delivery via tools like GitlabCI, Jenkins, and Spinnaker. Kubernetes platform; service discovery, deployments, monitoring, scheduling, load balancing. Scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) Linux CLI. Qualifications Technical degree (i.e. Computer Science) or equivalent experience in IT or Telecommunications field. 3+ years' experience as a technical trainer / sales engineer / professional services consultant or equivalent technical position. Must have a strong technical aptitude and capable of learning complex solutions. Experience designing and developing instructor-led and recorded content with technical subject matter. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (French and English are both absolutely necessary). Excellent presentation skills, both written and oral (French and English). Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities. Ability to adjust work schedule to meet work requirements (flexible work options).
