POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing Personnel Security administrative function as part of the Corporate Security Department. Works on assignments that are simple in nature. Judgment and initiative are required in performing simple security functions. RECRUITING JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing Personnel Security administrative function as part of the Corporate Security Department. Works on assignments that are simple in nature. Judgment and initiative are required in performing simple security functions. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100%. Process and maintain personnel security applications for perspective candidates and employees. Determine whether subjects of investigation can be granted reciprocity by a completed investigation from another agency (40%). Use e-QIP, JPAS, DISS to invite subjects to complete their questionnaire in e-QIP. Interface with subjects of investigations to assist with e-QIP access issues or questions. (15%). Review requests completed by subjects in e-QIP for errors, omissions, and quality review of all case documentation. (5%). Work with applicants and points of contact (Security, HR, PMO) on case issues. (8%). Receive notification from U.S. Government regarding background investigation case matters and refer such information to appropriate staff personnel. (5%). Perform security functions to include: update and maintain internal personnel security databases and repositories; create employee security records (5%). Handle routine inquiries made by internal and external customers and employees (5%). Follow-up on correspondence from both internal and external customers requiring review, approval and/or response (5%). Respond to telephone or written inquiries on routine matters, pending case questions, and status requests. (5%). Process and maintain incoming and outgoing visit access letters (VAL) and visitor access requests (VAR) (1%). Prepare correspondence, reports, and other materials which involve the use of Microsoft Office. (1%). Assist with routine and non-routine administrative requirements on project/program related efforts (1%). Support Receptionist with relief/breaks (1%). Perform other related duties as required (1%). Scan and/or attach case documents to various systems. (1%). Perform other clerical support; e.g., photocopying, faxing, material assembly, etc. (1%). MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Copiers, SIMS, Microsoft Office products and other general office equipment. Data Processing: Computer and peripheral devices. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Generally, works in an office environment. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Must be able to lift/push/pull 25 lbs. Position requires continuous sitting and customer contact. Eyestrain & repetitive motion involved during peak periods of data entry. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate. Must be a US citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain Personnel Security Clearance eligibility Must have a working knowledge of the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) Must have a working knowledge of DOD Personnel Security procedures Experience: One (1) year of DoD Personnel Security (PERSEC) experience. kills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
